Hello, so you want to know more about me?

I am Andi Bengis – I am an Occupational Therapist and I am passionate about helping people to change the way they deal with stress and anxiety.  I constantly need to remind myself of the same thing and the wise amongst you will know that my posts often reflect the space that I am in my own life.

I work in a psychiatric ward during the day but writing and creating is my first love.  And that is how I don’t want to be stressed was born way back in 2006.  Over time I received a lot of feedback from my readers about what inspires them and motivates them and a general consensus was that people want to read shorter blogs – if you feel stressed, you don’t want to spend time wading through lots of information.  So, you’ll notice that my blogs are short (or “sound bites” as someone called them)

I am always evolving my style and my focus so please enjoy the ride with me – it is one big rollercoaster!

So you found me here – well done for that! But I lurk around in lots of places (besides my workplace and my bath AKA ‘the office’ oh and the shops, and in the kitchen working  out new recipes for you to enjoy, and in the summer in the evenings, you may just find me in the hot tub) –

twice baked

You may notice (if you have keen eyes) that there are recipes on my blog about stress – the main reason is that food plays an important role in my life and I love baking and entertaining.  But more importantly, getting the right nutrients certainly help you to manage your stress more effectively (yes, chocolate is filled with mood enhancing chemicals).  For me, baking is a way of relaxing and feeding people makes me happy so please try my recipes and let me know what you think.
